100 Day Project 2026

Still Life Opening

Stillness invites life to return.

A 100-Day Series on Loss, Reflecting, and Renewal

Still Life Opening is a 100-day series reflecting on the experience of grief, loss, and the ways life changes around it.

Loss can feel disorienting and devastating. But over time, it creates space for tenderness, reflection, resilience, and renewed hope. This project explores both truths at once: Loss and growth unfolding together and how life begins to open again.

Why I’m Doing This

This is a deeply personal project. If you know me in real life, you know I’ve experienced significant loss from sudden death and suicide. At the beginning of this year, I lost my father-in-law, and his passing felt different.

I’m using the 100 Day Project to honor him and to process the shift it brought about in me. Each day, I’m creating a small, original piece to hold space for my emotions. They are reflective pieces. Some are heavy. Some are soft. Some hold tension. Others hold repair. I’m doing this to remind myself that even after loss, life continues and hope returns.

Mental health is extremely important to me. Talking about grief, death, loss, and recovery is important, even when it’s uncomfortable. These are human experiences we don’t discuss or express enough. We all share these experiences, yet we often carry them privately. I’m hoping my expression of them creates connection, understanding, and healing.

If something speaks to you

If a piece resonates with you, honor it and explore that feeling. I’d love for it to follow you home, but I also encourage you to leave a comment below. We’re all in this together, right?

If you’re struggling or need someone to talk to, you can call or text 988 in the U.S. to reach the Suicide & Crisis Lifeline. Depression lies and you are not alone.
